Parent Information and Band Booster Meeting May 4

Join us Monday, May 4, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in-person for a parent information meeting and a meeting of the Hayfield Band Boosters! The meeting will be held in the band room. Mr. Specketer anticipates sharing information about the 2026-2027 band class and marching band, which you won’t want to miss! Additionally, the booster organization plans to vote for board members for the 2026-2027 season. We’ll see you there!

Musical Performances May 1, 2, 8 & 9

Come out to Hayfield to enjoy Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella! The musical features student performers from across the campus, including, of course, members of Hayfield bands playing in the pit orchestra. Tickets are available at hayfielddrama.com.

Indoor Percussion Captures Third at National Competition

Congratulations to the Hawks students and our friends from South County who won third place in their division at the WGI Percussion World Championships in Dayton! The South County Combined indoor percussion ensemble captured a spot on the podium among ensembles from around the nation!

Pep Band Plays at Library Opening

Members of the student-organized Hayfield Pep Band played at the opening of the new Kingstowne Regional Library on April 11, 2026. Plenty of library patrons stopped to enjoy the music, including some future band members and the Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, Jeff McKay.
