Congratulations Marching Hawks!
The Marching Hawks participated in the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association State Marching Band Assessment on Saturday, October 24. They earned a Superior rating from all five judges in the captions of Music Performance, Visual Performance, Music Effect, and Visual Effect. Congratulations to the students and staff, and a HUGE thank you to all of the parent volunteers who helped throughout the year!
Marching Band Banquet
Marching Hawks Awards Banquet will be held on Thursday, November 12 at 6:00pm in the Middle School Lecture Hall. This is a potluck-style event – please see below for food assignments based on last name:
Last names A-F: Appetizer/Side
Last Names G-M: Main Course
Last Names N-Z: Canned/Bottled Drink or Dessert
This event is open to all Marching Hawks students and families. We hope you can join us!
Senior Regional Orchestra
Congratulations to Ben Jacobs (clarinet) and Jana Elkafouri (horn) for earning placement in the North Central Region Senior Regional Orchestra! They will perform on November 14 at Patriot HS.
Concert Attire Reminder
Students have two options of attire
Option 1: Tuxedo-style white shirt with black coat, black bowtie, black cummerbund, black pants, black dress shoes, and black socks.
Option 2: Black dress pants or black long skirt/dress down to the ankles, black dress shirt or blouse, black belt (if worn), black dress shoes, and black socks.
Jeans, leggings, flip-flops/sandals, and tennis shoes/sneakers are not acceptable for concert attire.
Orlando Trip Reminder
Students and chaperones should have submitted three payments at this point for the Orlando 2027 trip. Any student with an outstanding balance will be notified. The next trip payment of $240.00 is due November 23, 2026.
