Senior Night Is Almost Here: What Marching Hawks Families Need to Know
Congratulations to our Marching Hawks on earning a Superior rating at last Saturday’s VBODA State Marching Assessment! The students’ hard work and long rehearsals paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of them. Thank you to our directors, staff, and all of the families who helped make it happen.
Now, get your cameras and tissues ready, Hawks fans! Senior Night is coming up, and we’re so excited to celebrate our 26 (yes, 26!) amazing seniors as they take the field one last time.
Senior Families: Meeting Up for Recognition
If you’re escorting your senior on the track, please meet the band in front of the band stands when there are 6:00 minutes left on the clock in the second quarter. We’ll line everyone up in alphabetical order by last name, then wait for halftime to begin. Seniors will take part in pregame warmup, then head to the track with their families to be recognized. With so many seniors to celebrate, recognitions will be quick. We’re planning on about 30 seconds per senior, and even that will be a squeeze given how much we need to fit into halftime. Thank you for helping us keep things moving so every senior gets their moment in the spotlight!

A Friendly Pickup Reminder
Please plan to be at the school to pick up your student at 10:30 PM. If it looks like we’ll be running later, the directors will have students let you know. Over the past two weekends, some families have arrived 30 to 45 minutes after dismissal which takes a toll on our hardworking directors and staff who want to get home after a long day, too. Thanks for helping us wrap up the night smoothly!
We can’t wait to celebrate our seniors with you. Go Hawks!
