Our mission is to ensure all students have access to an enriching musical education and performance opportunities beyond what the school’s budget can supply. We fund these opportunities through donations from individuals, businesses, and community organizations.
Your tax-deductible contribution covers scholarships, instruments, repairs, and competition expenses, ultimately helping our students achieve their musical goals!
5 Ways to Invest in the Future of Hayfield Bands
For over twenty years, the Hawks have started their marching season with two Saturdays of walking the surrounding neighborhood to ask for donations to their season. These “Tag Days” (named for the tags left on doors for the neighbors they miss) are not only a grand tradition but also our #1 fundraiser. In 2025, we joined the 21st century by adding a tag day donation button to the website for our many friendly neighbors who aren’t in walking distance from the school!

We honor our patrons by listing their names in the concert programs and on the website. Booster members are the backbone of our program, giving their time, talent, and treasures to make the magic happen. To contribute financially, choose the level that works for you!

Burke Scholarship
Each spring, the band boosters award one senior with a scholarship in honor of Patrick Burke, beloved teacher and friend of Hayfield Secondary.
