Marching Hawks Week of September 21 Schedule

The Marching Hawks had a great day at the first marching band competition of the season this past weekend! The students performed well and brought home a Second Place Class 4A trophy along with caption awards for percussion and color guard. We have back-to-back Football Fridays coming up before we head to our second competition of the season in Annapolis, MD on October 3rd. Also, due to some non-marching band commitments, the rehearsal schedule is slightly altered.

Friday, September 25 – HOME Football vs. Edison HS (8th Grade Night)
4:15pm – Students report; dinner (Paisanos Pizza)
7:00pm – Game Starts
8:15pm (approx.) – Halftime performance “Dare to Dream”
10:00pm (approx.) – Game ends, return to band room, store all equipment and uniforms
10:30pm (approx.) – Dismissal

USBands Regional, Saturday, October 3
This contest is at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium located at 550 Taylor Ave, Annapolis, MD 21401.
8:00am - Students arrive at Hayfield Secondary, load truck, change into uniforms
10:00am - Load buses, depart Hayfield Secondary School
11:30am - Arrive, Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
12:18pm - Warm-Up Time
1:25pm - PERFORMANCE TIME: Dare to Dream!
Following our performance, we will go back to the buses quickly to change, then head back into the stadium to watch the remaining performances.
2:25pm - Exhibition performance from the Towson University Marching Band
2:40pm - A-Class Awards Ceremony
5:00pm - Move back to buses, depart Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
6:15pm - Arrive at Hayfield, unload equipment, store uniforms, clean areas
6:45pm - Dismissal
All students are expected to stay until dismissal to ensure all equipment and uniforms are properly stored.
What to Bring for the Contest
All uniform items: 2026 Marching Hawks T-Shirt, Drillmasters/Guard Shoes, LONG black socks, shorts to wear under uniform for a quick change after our performance, hair products for students with long hair
Breakfast to eat on the way to Annapolis
Refillable Water Bottles
Money for concessions at the event after our performance
