All District Results

Congratulations to all of our students who auditioned for All-District Band! We had twenty-two students earn seats in the ensemble! These students will participate in the All-District Band event at Hayfield on February 5-7, 2026

Volunteer Opportunity

Please consider supporting our students at the All-District Band Event on February 5-7. 2026. We are seeking volunteers and donations! Donations of chips, snacks, and candy will be accepted now through the event. Volunteers for this event sign up here.

Concert Band Assessments

Concert Band Assessments are quickly approaching! The Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble will all participate in assessments on Wednesday, March 11 OR Thursday, March 12 at West Potomac High School. We will know specifics within the coming weeks, but please do everything you can to keep these dates open so we avoid any potential conflicts!

Jazz Band and Pit Orchestra

Jazz band and pit orchestra will be starting in January. These are elective ensembles. Students interested in jazz band can sign up via the link on Schoology, while Pit Orchestra members will be notified on Friday, January gth if they have been placed in the ensemble.

December 4, 2025 – Winter Concert

               6:00pm – Students Arrive – Concert Band, MS Orchestra Room; Symphonic Band, MS Band Room; Wind Ensemble, HS Band Room

               6:15pm – Ensemble pictures

               6:30pm – Warm-up in locations

               7:00pm – Concert Starts

December 6, 2025 - All Wind Ensemble students and some select Symphonic Band students are registered to participate in the All-District Band auditions on Saturday, December 6 at Glasgow MS. Information has been sent to all students regarding those auditions.

Week of November 10

Marching Hawks Awards Night

We made it to the end of the season! Thanks to everyone for your help and support over the last three months. An extra special thank you to our Band Booster board for all of the hours you put in for our staff and students, to all of our amazing volunteers who have traveled with us, drove trucks, and helped at our events here at home, and to our staff that I couldn’t do this without. We will celebrate a great season on Wednesday, November 12 at 6:00pm at our Marching Hawks Awards Night.  

The banquet is a potluck-style event. This is an event for both students and families. All are expected to contribute if they are attending. Please see below for Alpha assignments for what to bring.

Week of November 3

Schedule for Week of 11/3:

Thursday, November 6 – MH Rehearsal, 3:15-4:45pm

Friday, November 7 – HOME Football vs. Lewis HS – SENIOR NIGHT!

               4:30pm – Students report to Band Room; dinner and change into uniforms

               5:30pm – Rehearsal in lot; section pictures

               6:40pm – Move to stadium

               7:00pm – Game begins

               7:45pm – Senior parents and families meet your student on the track; line up for halftime presentation honoring seniors

               8:15pm (approx.) – Halftime; Senior Recognition and FINAL performance of The Dark Side!

               9:30pm (approx.) – Game ends; return to band room, store uniforms and equipment, dismiss

               10:00pm – Parents pick up students

Hello parents of Seniors! We are looking forward to celebrating all the seniors in the Hayfield Marching Band on November 7th!
