Marching Hawks Itinerary - Herndon Showcase of Bands

7:30am - Students arrive, move equipment to stadium for rehearsal (eat breakfast BEFORE you arrive)
8:00am - Rehearsal in stadium
10:30am - Rehearsal ends - load truck, hair/makeup, eat lunch, change into uniforms, etc.
12:00pm - Load buses
12:15pm - Depart Hayfield Secondary School
1:15pm - Arrive at Herndon High School, 700 Bennett St., Herndon, VA 20170
1:55pm - Warm-up
3:15pm - Performance
5:00pm - Group 4 and 5 Awards
After awards, we will return to the buses to drop off equipment and change. We will return to the stadium to watch the Group 5 and 6 bands.
9:00pm - Load buses, depart Herndon HS
10:15pm - Arrive at HSS, unload equipment and store uniforms, dismiss
What to Bring
- Lunch (no students allowed to leave campus)
- Instrument/equipment
- Black Marching Hawks 2024 t-shirt, long black socks, drillmasters, any other uniform essentials
- Change of clothes for after the performance (temps will dip into low 60s - be prepared!)
- Money for concessions

Students will communicate with parents regarding our departing time from Herndon HS. Please be prepared to pick up students once we have all equipment and uniforms stored.
